Description

This is one of the most easily accessible walks in this guidebook, and one of the most family-friendly ones, too.

It’s entirely flat, paved, and without any obstacles, making it perfect for families with small kids and pushchairs.

The reversible starting point of the path begins either in Repulse Bay or Deep Water Bay.

Given the short length of this promenade walk, it’s worth looping back to your starting point for an extra mile.

As the walk is bookended by beaches and restaurants, you can grab a bite to eat and relax on the sand with your little ones afterward, so you really can’t go wrong with either starting point.

Enjoy the breezy sea views all along the walk, the lush well-maintained gardens, and the bobbing anchored sailing boats in the bay.

If you’re lucky, there will be teams training in dragonboats, silently gliding across the calm waters of Deep Water Bay, paddling in unison.

Depending on the tide, about midway through the walk, there’s a little pebble beach where the kids can hop down from the promenade for a bit of stone skipping and a break from walking.

Further along, there are big rock boulders that the kids can, carefully, walk along for a bit of added fun and adventure.

Top your delightful walk with a meal and an afternoon at either one of the beaches before jumping in one of the many buses back to the city.
