Description

This trail used to be the sole option for daytime uphill access at Copper, but they’ve recently opened more ski runs to uphill users, including a faster way to reach the Forest Service gate for [Janet’s Cabin](https://fatmap.com/routeid/1869676).

So now this route through the cross-country trails and the woods simply makes a secluded alternative to uphilling on the busy resort ski runs. After snaking along the Nordic trails, it turns upward to cross a ski run and follow a flagged route through a few hundred feet of trees, eventually emerging at the top of Lumberjack lift.

From there you can ski down West Ten Mile or another run to get back to West Village.

You could also continue your uphill tour on Roundabout, or transition downhill via Clear Cut trail and go uphill on Soliloquy or Copperfield.

Before you head out, be sure to review Copper’s [uphill policy](https://www.coppercolorado.com/things-to-do/activities-amenities/uphill-access) and purchase the required pass for access.
