Description

In terms of Snow Quality and how skiable these chutes are, they're certainly easier than their Upper Knife Ridge Chute Counterparts.

They're also much more forgiving in terms of Exposure, length, and rockiness.

However these are generally more steep and severely more narrow than the Upper Knife Ridge Chutes.

To get here either traverse the perilously narrow Knife Ridge (not recommended) or hike up Winnemucca Ridge (recommended).

There are six chutes in this area, though in most average snow-years, only 4 of the 6 are rideable.

They're quite short, however all contain cornice drop-ins and require mandatory straightlines (some more severe then others).

Heed severe caution when trying some of the more rocky chutes and know that massive cliffs exist below you and you have a very good chance of going off htem in the event that you're unable to stop.
