Description

With 92 km and 6330m of positive altitude difference, it is recognized as one of the most technical trails of the French landscape, and although the course is exclusively on hiking trails, they are sometimes narrow and aerial. Some parts of the course are exclusively in the snow and runners frequently evolve between 2000m and 2500m of altitude which requires a certain acclimatization.

The weather can change rapidly in the mountains (wind, precipitation, heat/cold) and running at night can sometimes increase the feeling of difficulty of a passage. To participate in this race it is recommended to have a good experience of mountain running, to be comfortable in all terrains and to be autonomous for several hours.

We draw your attention to the fact that a runner who does not have an Itra score or a UTMB performance index higher than 450 points has very little chance of finishing the race, so it is more recommended to participate in another event of the Mont Blanc Marathon. https://www.marathonmontblanc.fr/fr/les-courses/90km-du-mont-blanc/
