Description
Access: Depending on the entrance issue, due to Alto Maipo disaster hydroelectric project and Arenas Private Park which hasn´t standardized access yet (send an email to: parquearenas@gmail.com), you should arrive very early in order to park your car near the starting point. Ascent: Cross the river where you can spot a snow bridge, elsewhere take off your boots, and suffer a little bit to not get your boots wet.
Skinn a little bit at the entrance of the leftist couloir, then climb up, mostly boot packing, until you can't keep climbing.
You can´t reach the top via this route.
Be aware that is possible for rocks to fall up your head, wearing a helmet is mandatory!! Descent: It's quite obvious where to drop, follow the only way down.
The couloir steepents up to > 40°. Follow @andesmagazine on Instagram for more reviews about ski, climb, and mountaineering routes in the South American Andes.
