Description

Starting from the Krossbu cabin skin towards "Store Smørstabbstind".

At the clacier lake, turn right and tour up the glacier.

Follow the natural way up, and stay away from typical crevasse spots.

In the saddle (optinal), transition to ski and ski to the bottom of Store Bjørn. Skin up to the top, staying clear of the glacier crevasse ( on the left of the glacier).

The climb is exposed, especially at the top, so in icy conditions ski-crampons is highly recommended. Ice axe is optional, but can provide safety when going for the peak. Ski the same way you walked up, or alternatively ski down the "Bjørnebrean", ending in another valley.
