Description

Ultimate mountaineering adventure among the Korab peaks, making ascent on Ribnicka Skala Peak △2,305m and Kabas Peak △2,391m - two of the most imposing and remarkable mountain titans in the Korab range. Summer ascents are known to be tricky, exposed and thrilling but yet reasonably doable in a single day. Although technical gear and tie-in is not mandatory, it is very convenient to have some single (1) rope ±20-30m, ≤⌀8mm, few pitons or nuts just in case of emergency as well as helmet. Winter ascents, are extreme missions, steep, remote, avalanche prone terrain, extreme weather rapid weather changes, requiring excessive winter mountaineering experience, know-how with winter routes and planing.

Usually there are maximum one to two ascents in winter time.

Best time to do winter ascents is late winter, when the snowpack and conditions are taming as the winter progresses towards spring.
