Description
This popular hike passes by some picturesque waterfalls and is a favourite for wildlife watchers.
A challenging route, from the trailhead hikers, follow a gradual ascent up through the forest before a short, sharp climb sees hikers reach Iceberg Lake. The Lake is well worth the effort.
Turquoise blue with icebergs floating on its surface, the water provides cool relief before following the same trail back into to town. Given the expected duration of the hike, water is definitely recommended.
Throughout the summer water sources can always be found along the route, but (as always) ensure that they are fresh springs.
Dogs are not permitted on this hike.
