Description
Russet Lake via singing pass is a popular but challenging backpacking route.
This hike can be done in winter but is extremely difficult and therefore only recommended for experienced hikers.
However, in summer it is a great way to spend the weekend by hiking up and admiring the views of castle towers and black tusk before sleeping in either Himmelsbach Hut or Kees and Claire Hut or camping.
The route starts by going straight throw the woods until you emerge out into the meadows for the last 4 kilometres.
Even though you can fill water on the way up you should take as much water as possible especially when camping up there.
