Aptly-named! Huge berms and countless mini (optional) airs make this a classic ride.

Description

This route is somewhat aptly named but it might more accurately be called "Jumpalade".

It doesn't sound quite as good as Bermalade, but it would be more accurate! The route does definitely have some fabulous berm sections, but it's the many little jumps dotting the line which characterise the ride. The route is accessed via a short trip along a 4x4 track, and is then clearly signposted off to the right.

The initial section is relatively flat and punctuated with brief steep sections, one of which even has a walk-around option due to its relative difficulty.

The trail steepens after it crosses the same 4x4 track it was accessed from, and the berms get faster, the jumps get bigger from there on.

The jumps on the trail are clearly marked with little orange flags on either side of the route, and once you get used to keeping an eye out for them, they're easy to spot and allow you to get set up for some air time.

Most of the jumps have downslopes landings, and you can generally choose how big you want to go on each jump - not many involve compulsory gaps or table tops.

As a result, this is a great trail on which to practise your jumping and gain some confidence in the air.

If you reach the lower section of this trail and want a total change of style, then detouring onto Arm Pump is easily done, and clearly signposted.

Arm Pump is steep, rooty, technical and named very logically!
