The Granite Lakes (at (9,000 ft.) are one of the few natural lake basins in the Emigrant Wilderness, this hike begins near Dodge Ridge, at the Gianelli Cabin trailhead, leaves the trail at Upper Relief Meadow, cross country into the Granite Lakes.
Iceland Lake is like an infinity pool with amazing sunset views.
The hike rejoins below Lunch meadow, and stops at Relief Reservoir before finishing at Kennedy Meadows.
A nice, moderately challenging 4-day hike through some beautiful country.
You'll need to leave a car at Kennedy Meadows and another at the trailhead.
It's about an hour drive from Kennedy Meadows to the trailhead.
