Description

If you want a stress-free wander around Silver Star mountain with plenty of options for detours, this is the trip for you.

The trail is a mixture of pavement and smooth jeep track, so there's no technical terrain and the hike is suitable for the whole family.

This isn't so much a set route as a recommended way of accessing the various parts of Silver Star.

You can do it in the direction shown here or catch the Comet Express chairlift up and hike back down, but just be aware that regardless of whether you ride the lift or not, you will need a hiking pass to access the trail.

Even those who simply want to explore the Silver Star trails are required to buy a hiking pass, so make sure you call in at the ticket office in the village centre and pick one up before starting your trip. Once on the trail there will be plenty of people about on both foot and bike so keep your wits about you and be aware of traffic from both directions.

The number of people using the trail will decrease you get higher, but the lower section is a funnel for some of the bike park lines so it can get pretty busy.

Regardless of which direction you do this route there are countless detours possible onto a variety of trails.

Make sure you only go onto hiking paths (many Silver Star trails are bike only) and enjoy exploring this fabulous mountain.
