Description

Start the route at the last house and begin to hike north, following the omnipresent yellow signs.

Make sure to also look for the red-white markings, leading the way up. The trail quickly gains altitude and after many switchbacks you’ll reach a terrace, which invites for a deserved rest before the technical part starts. Keep on walking through steep terrain upwards, until the trail traverses east through a loose rock field beneath the steep face.

After you reached the col between the Seejoch and the Peider Spitze turn left (west) onto an slightly exposed ridge.

This ridge is an rather unknown but really nice opportunity to get used to hikes over exposed terrain.

The peak rewards with a view over Sellrain valley and the busy Inn valley whereas you can enjoy the silence and loneliness of the mountain up here.

For the way down into the valley take the same path as uphill.

Make sure to stay concentrated as you need some surefootedness on the ridge. The Jausenstation Schärmeralm near the parking lot invites for a well deserved tyrollean meal after this exhausting route.
