Triple Treasure

Backcountry Skiing Route

A popular patch of woods that are always fun to ski.

Between Hackett’s Highway and North Slope lies Triple Treasure. This patch of woods may not be full of hidden powder or 2,500 vertical. But it’s still a treat. Triple Treasure can be hit in combination with either trail. The woods themselves are a perfect example of a classic Stowe hardwood glade. The top is the widest portion, as you get lower down, the patch of woods gets thinner. From here you can cut out to either side. Be aware that Hackett’s Highway has a river gully that doesn’t freeze lower down. If you cut out near the bottom you may find yourself on top of this. Written by Ryan Delena
