Mt Agassiz was the highest elevation between Thunder Bay and the Rookies. It was open from 1971 to 2000. It was a big loss to the Alpine community and is still felt to this day. I'm usually the only one skiing at the hill, and while nature has reclaimed a lot of its, you can still get in some great runs. There is a warming hut and you can build a fire.
