Description

The Passo delle Crepe Rosse, located above the Passo Fedaia, towards the Marmolada, in an area characterized by wide meadows; it offers a path of almost 12 kilometers, technically demanding, but almost always smooth.

In addition to this, of course, a fantastic view of Marmolada and Civetta.

The tour starts in the parking lot of the Alleghe ice stadium to get an idea of the lake and its surroundings and follows the road along the lake towards Masarè with great precision.

Here you turn right to go around the lake on an easy-to-follow paved road.

After a short climb, you reach the village of Saviner along the gravel path, with a slight descent which then becomes flat along the Cordevole river up to Santa Maria delle Grazie.

From Saviner continue on the gravel and asphalt cycle path to the entrance to the gorge in Sottoguda.

Shortly after leaving the gorge you reach Malga Ciapela.

Here you reach the uphill road towards Passo Fedaia up to the Passo Padon chairlift, which can be easily reached by bike.

Of course you could also follow the road and continue to the Fedaia Pass and the Padon refuge.

The route along the ski slope is not recommended, as it has many inaccessible parts.

From the top of the chairlift, after a short descent, you reach the Padon Refuge with its breathtaking views of the Marmolada glacier.

A short break on the terrace is highly recommended! From here you follow the dirt road downhill and after three bends you turn sharply to the left near the helicopter pad.

This path is uphill in principle not completely smooth, but the closer you get to Passo Crepe Rosse, it becomes smoother.

At the pass, the path becomes wider and leads, to the left, to Malga Laste.

Continue downhill towards Ronch, on a steep meadow.

After the village, turn right again onto a barely visible path that leads downhill through the woods to Saviner di Laste.

The path winds in not too tight hairpin bends, without steps, without rough stones.

In Caprile, take the cycle path to the left of the Cordevole torrent which leads back to Alleghe.
