This tour links together two incredibly scenic lines into one incredibly scenic ski tour.

While the Third Burrough is within the Sunrise area and the Interglacier is in the Glacier Basin region this trip links them together making the most out of Spring corn.

Being that it was late June when we did this trip we were able to mainly hike on dry ground finding snow only in the bowls we had planned to descend.

Make no mistake that this is a long tour but well worth the effort. Being that the Sunrise Road still wasn’t open in late June we started our trip at the White River Campground.

Heading north on the Wonderland Trail we made our way up to the sunrise area before heading west on the Burrough Mountains Trail.

Standing on top of the Third Burroughs we took in the views in all directions before following the ridge south before stopping just short of the next sub peak.

Dropping in we started descending fall line before doing a hard right traverse wrapping around the ridge and descending all the way into Glacier Basin. Since the White River had been open for more than a month we just followed the well beaten in path up to the Interglacier and kept climbing all the way to Steamboat Prow.

Dropping into the Northeast slopes we were able to make the most out of perfect corn snow all the way back down to the valley where we put our gear onto our packs and made the long hike back out to the White River Campground.
