Description

This is a scenic ski tour with the short Couloir de l'Ourse at the top.

It is interesting to take the tram up to the Pic du Midi, and from there to ski down the west ridge of the peak to the Col Laquets.

From there the Couloir de l'Ours descends Northward from the Col.

Then, after continuing down a long, mellow, beautiful bowl, you skin back up to the Col d'Aouet to then begin the long east facing descent of the Bat d'Arizes to the D918 road.

There you can be picked up by a bus and taken back up to La Mongie.

A great outing with wonderful views and some fun skiing.
