Description

Annie's Canyon is a surprising little slot canyon hidden just off the Pacific Ocean in a San Diego suburb.

This short hike traverses the Rios Ave trail to reach the canyon itself.

While the hike is generally considered easy or moderate, scrambling around in the canyon could prove a little more challenging. Be sure to take your time enjoying this incredible little slot canyon and the cool rock walls—this place is truly unique! While you'll notice substantial graffiti that has been carved in the walls over the years, please follow Leave no Trace principles and do not add to the graffiti.

For some bonus miles on the return with additional beautiful views, follow the Solana Hills trails along the wetlands.
