Description

Bell Rock is one of the most famous hikes in Sedona due to the iconic and visually-stunning rock feature that this hike accesses. This hike features two distinct personalities along its length.

The majority of the trail approaching the rock is quite easy, and anyone can complete it without much difficulty.

However, the final stretches of this hike begin ascending the red rock faces of Bell Rock and require scrambling with the use of your hands.

This rock scrambling challenge may very well be more difficult than some hikers are prepared for, so if you're not feeling up to the scramble, there's no shame in turning around. The route shown here forms a small loop scrambling up to a popular overlook about halfway up Bell Rock and then returning down another route.

However, it is possible to scramble even higher than this point, but the route gets progressively more technical as you continue to ascend. Sources: http://www.arizonahikersguide.com/all-hikes/hike-bell-rock-loop-sedona
