Description

The ascent to refuge Resy (2066mt) is a classic excursion for Ayas, it is in fact one of the most popular routes.

From campZero you can reach Saint Jacques (1680mt), the starting point for your snowshoeing experience, by walking or by using your car.

The ascent itinerary, on path 9, lasts 45 minutes, the drop from Saint Jacques amounts to about 390 meters and the climb up is quite steep but easy. The characteristic inhabited area of Resy looks like a highly suggestive village and gratified by a highly panoramic position on the high Ayas, located above Saint Jacques-Blanchard and at the entrance to the deep Vallone di Bettaforca, as well as at the foot of Palon di Resy. After you’ve recharged your energy, you can use the same route for the coming back or get on the path 8B coming to Pian di Verra Inferiore.
