Description
This is a great way to not have to ski the air/choke crux of Northwest Passage.
It is usually controlled by patrollers.
After about ~150 feet into NW, look left for a large rock cleft to skier's left.
This is the entrance to spicy palapa.
A short, exposed traverse brings you into a steep chute.
Be careful here as botching a turn/hop would send you down some rocks lower in the chute.
Once into the main gut, ~50 feet down the chute, it gets tight and steep before a possible rocky exit.
Either bunny hop these rocks with some speed knowing that you may have a large collision with a skier going down NW or sideslip them if you want some ski damage.
If you are lucky and it's a good year or later in the ski season, these rocks may be covered.
This will deposit you ~30 feet below the outer limits traverse.
Enjoy your (pow?) turns in the apron of NW finally being able to open up!
