Description

Two itineraries are possible from the Hotel Foyer de Montagne: 1.

The best-known itinerary is, cross the Dora on the footbridge of the cross-country track, go up the cross-country track keeping to the left and follow the road that goes up into the woods (do not reach the dam, but go up to the left much earlier) .

Continue on the level road as far as passing the tunnel in the rock which you cross and then turn left towards the village of Rocher (1900) and arrive at the Madonna delle Grazie/Vierge Marie chapel (2044).

From here you go up towards Col Felumaz up to around 2450 m.

altitude, then in a south-easterly direction on wide slopes you go up towards the base of Guglia della Becca di Praz Damon (il Cigaro) at around 2778 m.

Cross the Dora di Valgrisenche on the footbridge of the cross-country track and reach the summer path (Alta Via 2) which from the Mondanges hamlet goes up to the Epèe refuge, follow it up to an altitude of 2043, turn left (black path on the Hiker 1/25,000), then having passed a pass at an altitude of 2212, you soon come across the itinerary of Fr.
