Description
The trail from Deep Cove to Quarry Rock is an easy, enjoyable run that offers a great stint of lush singletrack in dense forest and a halfway point that overlooks Deep Cove and the harbor.
The trail courses nearly 2km of the fairly technical and rooty Baden Powell Trail – relying on the same section of trail on both directions.
The trail is typical for Vancouver with dense forests of Douglas fir and hemlock.
The Quarry Rock itself is a massive rock outcropping that provides an elevated vantage of Indian Arm and Deep Cove.
From up above, the boats seem tiny and distant – offering a great vantage to contemplate running and life.
This halfway point offers a great position to relax and take in the natural beauty of Vancouver.
