Description

Lake Twenty-Two (also sometimes written as "Lake 22") is nestled in a steep-sided basin below the summit of Mount Pilchuck.

"The hike to the lake combines the best of mountain rainforests, old-growth, wetlands, and mountain views, yet it is readily accessible," according to [WTA.org](https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/lake-22-lake-twenty-two). The hike to the lake follows a well-built and reinforced trail tread, but you can still expect to encounter water on the trail due to the rainforest climate.

You'll also have to ascend stone steps and can expect to traverse slimy roots and rocks along the way.
