Description

The Fourth of July Trailhead isn't open until at least Memorial Day, so just be aware that if you come up here earlier you're adding 8mi RT. There are several options for ascent/descent at the top of this couloir: 1.

Once the couloir forks, the climber's right option will take you to the summit at about 55°. 2.

The Princess Leia Variation goes straight up through a narrow slot at about 65°. No matter the choice, you're in for a steep treat.

The base of the couloir is approached along the Arapaho Pass Trail for a bit, before turning right up the Arapaho Glacier Trail.

You can see the line from the car, so basically just go the way you think you should.
