Hiking to Steall Falls is an exhilarating and rewarding experience that takes you through some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Scottish Highlands.

The trail to Steall Falls begins near the village of Glen Nevis and follows a narrow and steep path through the valley, surrounded by towering mountains and dense forests. The trail leads you to a wire rope bridge suspended over the River Nevis, known as the Steall Gorge.

Crossing the bridge is a thrilling experience, as you are suspended high above the river with stunning views of the surrounding valley and the waterfall below. After crossing the bridge, the path continues through a rocky and uneven terrain, with some steep sections that require careful footing.

As you approach the waterfall, the sound of the rushing water becomes louder and more intense, building up the anticipation for the final destination. The Steall Falls themselves are truly breathtaking, cascading down a steep cliff face into a deep pool of crystal-clear water.

The sheer power and beauty of the waterfall are awe-inspiring and make the hike well worth the effort. Having taken it all in, all that's left to do is reverse your steps back to the car and head into Fort William for some grub.

The hike is possible in all weather so if you do it on a "dreich" (to use some local parlance) day then the calories will be even more deserved!
