FATMAP difficulty grade
A great three-day ski tour in the mountains where you cover a lot of ground.
You start with the most challenging ascent to Trollhytta.
After completing this climb, you have a 10km+ hike through a long valley with good flow.
This flow continues towards Liagarden next to Gråsjøen, where you head up to Tangvatnene on your way to Jøldalshytta.
The route is planned over Tangvatnene because it's best to avoid Svartdalen (between Trollhytta and Geithøtta) during winter unless there are very safe avalanche conditions. This route includes a 9km approach on groomed ski trails to Gjevillvasshytta and a 9km return trip on the same trails, which is why the distance is so long.
With an approach the day before, this can be done in one go.
