Description

Super easy access to great glades and alpine terrain from the Parkway.

Cross the highway from the parking lot and climb up the obvious treed ridge.

You'll soon hit the glades and then the alpine.

At this point you can decide to ski wherever you want.

The track I've included here goes into avy terrain, but it is easy to avoid that by not climbing as high.

Probably the most classic run is the E, or SE aspects from the ridge down to the creek (not included in the track), but I skied the N aspects when I was there.

This area is often in when Parker Ridge next door is too wind blasted.

The proliferation of aspects, terrain (dense trees, glades, alpine) and easy access to 2000m makes this a great place to come in almost all conditions.

Overhead hazard is essentially none on the ridge itself so great place to tiptoe your way into the terrain on considerable days.
