Long ski tour starting from Rifugio Pizzini with a really good ski descent on thee North Side of the Cime del Forni, an interesting route finding on the vedretta deall Miniera including some scrambling. Back to rifugio Pizzini. This gave us a nice view on the Gran Zebru,

Description

We did this original ski tour on day 1 of our ski guide exam.

From Pizzini we went up to the Cime dei Forni Orientale.

It was extremely windy and tough.

We decided to ski down the same way and reach the Passo di Zebru Sud to ski down on the vedretta dei Castelli.

At an altitude of 2550m we skinned up again to reach the Vedretta della Miniera.

A tricky part between the Cima della Miiera and the Col Pale Rosso obliged us to pu the skis and the bag pack and take the ice axe and wear crampons.

No rope needed here.

On top of this little climb we reached the flat plateau of the Vedretta della Miniera.

We put back the skis and roped together to travers the glacier to reach the Col Pale Rosso and ski down back to Pizzini.

Interesting and long ski tour.
