Description

Access to Sahale Glacier, and the camp at the base of glacier is via The Cascade Pass and Sahale Arm Trail near Marblemount, Washington.

This route is a challenging 19.8 km out-and-back trail that takes an average of 8 hours and 53 minutes to complete.

Though it is highly recommended that hikers grab a camping permit to enjoy the beautiful sunrise & sunsets you can see from the glacier.

There is running water near the camps, and a filter such as the HydraPak system is highly recommended.

The best time to go is between May & October, and this trail offers varying terrain from dense forest to alpine meadows & a boulder field with optional glacier travel.

Dogs: Unfortunately this trail is NOT dog friendly. NOTE: Bears are common in this area, do NOT leave food where you are sleeping.
