Description

Kantar Nag lake lies near the crest of Pir Panjal range in vicinity of Chor panjal pass that connects Tangmarg with Poonch.

As you start hiking from Drung Tangmarg, initially the ascent is gradual for some 5/6 kms till you reach Mohandor, a place with nomad dwellings.

After that the gradient increases but as you approach the lake, the wildflowers are in full bloom escpecially in summer months.

From Mohandor, Mt Sunshine is clearly visible and is famous for heli skiers who ski down from the peak during peak winter months.
