Check out this 2.3-mile out-and-back trail near Elka Park, New York.

Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 22 min to complete.

This is a popular trail for hiking and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day.

Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Start from Notch Lake Picnic Area and begin to hike up hill on the Devil's Path after crossing Route 214.

The path is a steady climb all the way up to the lookout point.

After heading back down, enjoy the views of Notch Lake. Please note that the end of the trail is also marked as Plateau Mountain Lookout
