Then along the range down Chemin de La Vie de Chaux, along Les Platieres and back down on Route des Places Menoud.

This route includes some steep technical terrain, where falls could have serious consequences. Some of these paths in the natural reserve are forbidden to protect wildlife from December to May (https://www.rnn-hautechainedujura.fr/reglementation/zones-de-quietude-de-la-faune-sauvage/).

Chemin de La Vie de Chaux is also off limits, December through April and when there is snow due to avalanche risk.
