Description

Take the free hiking bus to Zürs directly from the Postamt starting point.

Get off at the stop in Zürs and walk along the main road to the roundabout.

Shortly after you have passed the roundabout, follow the goods road in steep serpentines uphill to Lake Zurich and further uphill past Taurin's cave and the gate to the glacier town at Madloch to the highest point of the Madlochjoch, where you can sign a book.

From there, a narrower path leads through partially karstified terrain down into the saddle between Stierlochkopf and Zuger Mittagsspitze.

The bivouac's upside down.

Continue downhill via serpentines past the giant taurine until you come to another hiking trail, keep right here and shortly afterwards turn left downhill.

Continue downhill until you reach the Lechweg.

Here you can turn left and make a short detour to the waterfall and the barbecue site.

Or stay on the path and pass the fishpond to the bus stop in the centre of Zug.

From here you can return to the starting point by bus.

Those who have not had enough can turn right along the Lechweg and take a leisurely walk back to Lech.
