Description

One of if not the easiest trail at Big White, this is a gem of a ride down a quiet part of the mountain.

The ride begins with a very brief section of uphill but before you know it you’re rolling down mile after mile of easy trail. Bumble Bee is essentially non-technical, but it’s not completely smooth so you need to concentrate without ever really having to worry about any significant obstacles.

The trail feels like “real” riding but it’s about as easy as mountain biking gets. One of the great aspects of Bumble Bee is that it takes you to a wild part of Big White mountain, the most memorable part being when you suddenly emerge high above the lake which sits at the foot of the Power chairlift.

There are 2 big red chairs right next to the trail which overlook the lake, and taking 5 minutes to sit and ponder the view from them is all but essential when riding Bumble Bee.

Right at the end of the ride you’ll arrive at the edge of Big White village and a 5 minute pedal is required to get back to the village centre.

The uphill section is easy enough and leads to a quick downhill rip on Big White Road, which in turn leads back to the foot of the chairlift.

Having tackled Bumble Bee, the link up of Pry Bar and Nessy is a logical next step on your exploration of Big White’s maze of trails.
