Description

One section of the original Stanford Rock trail was an old, eroded fall line horror that TAMBA has recently rerouted into a delightful flowy singletrack trail filled with berms, plenty of grade reversals, and plenty of erosion control.

With deep, dark soil and well-built berms, this section is now a delight to ride! The original trail sections that remain are wide-open, fast, and full speed ahead thanks to long sightlines and mellow grades.

You can easily let off the brakes and absolutely bomb down these wide-open sections—just watch for other trail users! Keep your eyes open for the occasional awkward turns that you’re prone to find on old school backcountry trails, as well as trees down at the beginning of the season. Most of this trail runs beneath the deep forest canopy, with massive pine trees towering overhead.

In contrast to some areas on the eastern side of the lake, this zone on the West side is home to massive old-growth forests and delightful meadows.
