Description

For a deeper dive into the route and detailed terrain photos, check out the post on Beyond Our Peak: https://beyondourpeak.com/bostock-revelstoke-traverse-forgotten-selkirk-high-route/ When it comes to multi-day camping expeditions, the Bostock To Revelstoke Traverse is a forgotten gem of the Northern Selkirk Mountains.

Spanning 91km between two scenic parks, Glacier National Park and Mt Revelstoke National Park, the route connects the Bostock Trailhead to the Meadows in the Sky Parkway, totalling a hair-raising 7000m of vertical gain over 5-7 days.

The route follows the height of land for the most part, traversing expansive glaciers, climbing undulating ridges, and bagging high peaks.

It's one of my personal favourites since it rewards the adventurer with panoramic views of the high country and minimizes heinous bushwhacking. Let's not forget the efforts of its pioneers.

The route takes you through Selkirk Mountain Experience's prized ski touring tenure as well as Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing.

Impeccable backcountry practices are a must. Given its length, it's best to take a look at the track to get a better understanding of the routes details.
