Description

Starting point of the Freudenthalweg is the small village Appelbüttel in Hamburg-Harburg.

If you arrive by train, you can take the city bus (line 144) to Appelbüttel from the main station / S-Bahn station Harburg.

The marking of the Freudenthalweg begins at the turning loop of the end stop of line 144.

In the north of the Lüneburger Heide, in Appelbüttel the Freudenthalweg begins.

The landscape is varied.

Cosy forest areas, where the trees sway in the wind and light winds make the treetops rustling, are the companions of the first stage.

Passing an impressive megalithic tomb in the middle of the Klecker Forest, the trail continues south to Holm-Seppensen. Starting point of the Freudenthalweg is the small village Appelbüttel in Hamburg-Harburg.
