Description

Moore Cove Falls is an easy, family-friendly waterfall hike in the "Land of Waterfalls" — Transylvania County, North Carolina.

Unlike some of the waterfall hikes in Transylvania County, Moore Cove Falls is quite easy, at just 1.2 miles round trip.

While there are some stairs in the initial stretch of the trail, it's overall a very easy hike. The waterfall itself is a beautiful 50-foot-tall free-falling waterfall set in a scenic creek valley surrounded by lush ferns and rhododendrons in quintessential Pisgah National Forest style.

Like all trails in Pisgah, the trail can get muddy after heavy rains, and the roots can get a bit treacherous when wet.

So, if it's rained recently (which is common in this area), be sure to take extra care on this hike. Sources: https://wheninavl.com/moore-cove-falls-family-hike/ https://ashevilletrails.com/pisgah-national-forest/moore-cove-falls-trail/ https://blueridgemountainlife.com/moore-cove-falls-nc/
