Description

If you've ever stared at a mountain ridge and wished you could hike the entire length of it, well you're in luck, because you'll get to do exactly that on the Blue Ridge Trail! You'll get to enjoy this epic ridgeline traverse both directions on this 15.5-mile out-and-back hike.

As you might imagine, none of the mileage will come easily: the hike climbs steeply to gain the ridge and then once there, it is constantly climbing or descending through rugged terrain as it follows the spine of the mountain range.

Over its 15.5-mile distance, this hike gains over 4,000 feet of vertical.

And remember: you need to turn around and retrace your steps to get back to where you began.
