Simple enough, but who doesn't love a 40-foot waterfall in the bottom of a narrow gorge?! No wonder Trail Canyon Falls is such a popular hike.

Even though this hike is popular and dog-friendly, there's still a fair bit of elevation gain along its distance, and you'll have to do a bit of scrambling to actually reach the base of the waterfall.

There are also several stream crossings along the way as you head up the canyon.
