The area across Kvitavatnet from the hotel at Gaustablikk offers some nice and easy back country skiing opportunities and often holds powder better than Gaustatoppen. This is the longer of them. Approach from the top of the Fryriegg lift, past the bottom of Fjellheisen, etc.
