Description

White Ranch is the largest park in the renowned Jeffco Open Space system and, consequently, one of the most beautiful spots in the Denver Metro Area.

The Rawhide Loop is one of the most popular hikes at White Ranch. The trail begins on a wide, gated double track running through a grassy meadow before eventually narrowing down to a scenic singletrack trail.

In addition to the wide-open meadows, the trail also runs through some beautiful pine trees and passes some scenic rock formations. At just 4.5 miles long and 840 feet of climbing, this is an approachable loop that many hikers can easily accomplish.

That said, even though the initial track is wide and smooth, you should still expect to encounter some rocks and other obstacles on the narrower portions of the singletrack trail.
