Description

Davenport Hill, situated on the ridge that separates Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons, serves as a prominent landmark when exploring the Silver Fork area.

When observed from Big Cottonwood Canyon, it marks the pinnacle of Silver Fork, while from Little Cottonwood Canyon, it stands near the entrance to Grizzly Gulch.

Davenport Hill plays a crucial role in accessing popular ski routes such as Down and Out, Cabin Ridgeline, Easy Does It, and the East Bowl, all located within Silver Fork. Moreover, Davenport Hill also acts as a geographical divider for Silver Fork, creating two distinct areas known as the East Bowl and West Bowl.

West Bowl is particularly attractive for skiers, offering a delightful skiing experience that is conveniently less than an hour away from your car.

The main slope boasts an average gradient of approximately 32°, with some sections featuring rollovers that reach nearly 36°.

For those embarking on this adventure, the up track is clearly visible, running along the subtle ridge situated on the right side of the bowl, enhancing the overall skiing experience in the Silver Fork region.
