Description

Velociraptor is an uber-steep, brutally-rocky descent.

This “trail” isn’t so much a singletrack as it is an approximate line down a series of cascading rock slabs.

Add in a boulder field traverse, multiple-blown out lines from Pro GRT races, and fall line chutes down Mammoth’s classic volcanic dust, and Velociraptor makes a strong argument for being one of the most challenging lines on Mammoth Mountain. With a bike park so chock-full of brutally-technical riding, Velociraptor claiming the title of one of the most technical trails means average riders must exercise plenty of caution when attempting this line.

While most of the drops and features are rollable for slower riders (and huckable for riders moving faster), picking the right line through the maze of gnar is a skill unto itself. Sources: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcwtO5mpEZc
