Description

Early season in the North Cascades.

Just a classic route at WA Pass summit during a considerable day. Park at the Blue Lake lot and reach the avalanche path prior to the Blue Lake Trail.

Take the Blue Lake Trail to avoid having to go up steeper sections of snow.

Towards the top the upticks converge to follow the same path.

Early season the creek in the middle is a hazard. Going down you can traverse one bowl to the left for some great steep skiing.

Once you cross the trail that leads to Blue Lake make sure to follow the right avalanche path of the two.

The last 1/2 mile is a flat ski out that deceivingly feels like it should be downhill.
