Coalpit #1 is a seldom ridden chute in the Wasatch, but its over a 3K descent.

In a good snow year, you don't need a rope, but you'll want a rope early season or in low snow years, as there is crux that may not be filled in.

Toward the bottom of the line look to cross over to the very bottom of Coalpit #4
