Sitting just south-west of Kansas City, Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park is a much-loved local landmark with outdoor recreation options for the whole family.

The park features several miles of paved and natural surface trails which wind through scenic wooded areas, open fields, and around a picturesque lake.

The route we've drawn here is only a suggestion - just pick a nice trail, wander along it and see where it leads! The area is small enough that you'll never be too far from the parking lot, so you can't go far wrong. The park is well equipped with tables, grills, and shelters, so it's an excellent spot for a picnic, and it features several playgrounds designed for children of all ages and include age-appropriate equipment and safety features. The park also includes a designated off-leash dog park where your furry friends can run and play in a safe and enclosed environment.

The dog park features separate areas for small and large dogs, as well as agility equipment for added fun and exercise. Throughout the year, Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park hosts a variety of community events, and these provide opportunities for residents to come together, enjoy live entertainment, and experience the vibrant culture of Lenexa.
