Description

Boott Spur Gully is often overlooked, mostly because it rarely has enough snow to be enticing, but when it's in, it's quite fun.

The line is best climbed from the bottom.

Boott Spur Gully often has various ice bulges that will need to be navigated around, or over in most years.

The line tops out at a gentle roll of the Boott Spur Ridge.

Begin with low angle turns off the ridge, the gully progressively becomes steeper, eventually leading to a small rock band that can be avoided to skiers left.

Drop into a wide swath of skiing at a great pitch, until you arrive at the first ice bulge.

This can be anywhere from a small hop, to a full pitch.

Either way, it can be avoided to skiers left in the bushes, or taken head on if conditions allow.

Below, the gully becomes more defined, with one more ice bulge guarding the low angle, bushy exit.

This one is often smaller and can be skirted as well if need be.
